Canine
Good Citizen/Therapy Dog Class 201
For dogs of all ages, pedigrees and multi-grees! In this eight week class, teach your favorite
companion to be a respected and welcomed member of the community and join
the ranks of thousands who have attained the American
Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen certification. For those of you with loftier ambitions, earn your Delta Society Therapy Dog Certification and share your pooch with members of the community who are hospitalized, living in nursing homes or assisted care facilities. The certification is also great for participating in the READ program at a local school. The class builds
upon the foundations of the Basic Obedience class by adding distractions
commonly encountered in the "real world" and on therapy dog visits. It's also a great
class for handlers who want to refresh their training skills and overcome
the "I don't work with my dog enough when I am not in a class"
frustration. CGC and Delta testing available, but completely optional.
